Festival de Jazz de Gorée

The Dakar-Goree Jazz Festival is held on Goree Island off the coast of Dakar, a site steeply tied to the memory of the slave trade. Held annually, it marked its tenth edition in 2025 and brings together African, European, American and Caribbean musicians for a jazz program open to Afro-Cuban influences and African rhythms. Conceived as a bridge between cultures and a space for dialogue between African-descended visitors and Africans, it recently relocated to the Feu Boubacar Joseph Ndiaye sociocultural centre.
