Festival de la Tigra

Festival de la Tigra has been held in Piedecuesta, in Colombia's Santander department, since 2017, founded by musician Edson Velandia (of the group Velandia y La Tigra) and Adriana Lizcano. Free and open to the public, it showcases local and emerging Colombian popular musicians as part of a project rooted in social critique and community cultural strengthening. The event takes its name from the female tiger, a local symbol of fertility, and has grown into one of the city's key cultural gatherings.
