Festival de Música de Câmara de Campos do Jordão

Founded in 1970 by conductors Eleazar de Carvalho, Camargo Guarnieri and Souza Lima, inspired by the Tanglewood festival in the United States, this festival takes place in Campos do Jordão, a cool mountain town in São Paulo state. It features chamber music, jazz and dance, paired with a strong educational program pairing young scholarship musicians with established artists. Most concerts are free, making it one of the largest classical music festivals in Latin America.
