Festival de Samba de Roda

Organized by the city government of São Francisco do Conde in Bahia's Recôncavo region, this festival celebrates samba de roda, the traditional music and dance form recognized as part of Bahia's intangible cultural heritage. Past editions have brought together local samba de roda groups alongside well known names such as Riachão, Alcione, and Mart'nália, performing along the waterfront and in several neighborhoods of the city. Beyond the concerts, the event includes talks and film screenings aimed at passing on this popular culture.
