About
The Festival de Verão de Guarapari is a historic music event that originated in February 1971 at Três Praias, in the seaside town of Guarapari (Espírito Santo, Brazil), organized by Antônio Alaerte and Rubens Alves as a Brazilian take on Woodstock. The name lives on today through several summer festivals in Guarapari that bring sertanejo, pagode, axé, pop rock, reggae and MPB to the town's beaches. These modern editions often feature free concerts across multiple simultaneous stages.
