Overview
About
The Festival Debussy takes place in Argenton-sur-Creuse, a small town in the Berry region with an impressionist feel, set along the Creuse river between the Loire Valley and the first foothills of the Massif Central. Launched in 2012 to mark the 150th anniversary of Claude Debussy's birth, it is run by the association Classique en Berry and carries the Réseau SPEDIDAM label. Its programme centers on classical music, especially French repertoire from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with works such as Pictures at an Exhibition and concertos by Mozart, Grieg or Dvořák.
