Festival del Huaso de Olmué

Held since 1970 in the town of Olmué, in Chile's Valparaíso region, this festival takes place at the Patagual amphitheater and stands as one of the country's major events for Chilean folk music. Televised since 1979, it combines a song competition with a lineup mixing traditional folk performers and popular Latin American acts. It ranks among the country's biggest summer song festivals.
