Festival des fanfares

Founded in 1992 in the Beaux-Arts and Boutonnet districts of Montpellier, this street festival gathers around 400 musicians each year performing across roughly ten makeshift stages set up in the streets. Entry is free, with bands spanning funk, jazz and Balkan music, turning the neighborhood into an open-air stage for a day.
