About
Originally created in 1905 to support Concarneau fishing families hit by the sardine's disappearance from local waters, this festival has grown into a major summer gathering on Concarneau's Quai Carnot. It combines free concerts, a parade in traditional costume, and Breton and Celtic music, bagad bands, fest-noz groups, sea shanties, drawing a large crowd each year.
