Festival Fanfares !

Festival Fanfares! fills the streets, quays and squares of Brest and the island of Ouessant with brass music every year over the Ascension weekend. Founded by the Zébaliz brass band in partnership with Le Quartz and the two towns, it brings together around a dozen brass bands from France and beyond for impromptu concerts, festive parades and friendly musical duels. Its distinctive feature is its itinerant format, with bands taking the ferry out to Ouessant to parade through its paths and villages before returning to liven up the streets of Brest.
