Festival Internacional de Jazz de Guayaquil

Held each April by the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil (UCSG), this jazz festival marks UNESCO's International Jazz Day on April 30. Its main event takes place at the Museo Antropológico y de Arte Contemporáneo (MAAC), preceded by a citywide series of free concerts known as the Ruta del Jazz. The centerpiece is a multi-hour musical marathon bringing together local jazz and fusion artists.
