Festival Internacional de la Canción de Punta del Este

The Festival Internacional de la Canción de Punta del Este is held every November in this Uruguayan seaside resort town. It showcases new, previously unreleased songs along with emerging performers and composers from various countries, judged by an international panel drawing figures from the music industries of Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Spain and Chile. Three awards are given out: best song, best music video and most popular performer.
