Festival Internacional de Música Renacentista y Barroca Americana «Misiones de Chiquitos»

Founded in 1996 by the Asociación Pro Arte y Cultura (APAC), this Bolivian festival celebrates Renaissance and American Baroque music, much of it drawn from a trove of sacred scores rediscovered during the restoration of the old Jesuit missions of Chiquitos. Over several days, concerts take place in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and in the mission towns of the Chiquitania region (San José, Concepción, San Ignacio, San Xavier, among others), many held inside mission churches recognized as World Heritage sites. Ensembles from across the Americas and Europe take part.
