Festival international de musique universitaire

Founded in 1986 by a university teacher, the FIMU takes over Belfort's old town each year with numerous open-air stages. Its entirely free programme mixes jazz, classical, contemporary and world music, selected from over a thousand international applications by professional juries. The event runs on several hundred volunteers.
