Festival Nacional del Folklore de San Bernardo

Held since 1972 in San Bernardo, in Chile's Santiago metropolitan region, this festival has earned the town its nickname as the capital of Chilean folklore. Spread over several days at the municipal amphitheater, it showcases cueca, caporales, northern dances and trote through contests and performances by national and regional artists, with free admission and, since 1979, an accompanying crafts fair.
