About
The Festival of the Sound is a chamber music festival founded in 1979 by pianist Anton Kuerti in Parry Sound, Ontario, on the shore of Georgian Bay. Running for about three weeks each summer, it presents dozens of concerts spanning classical repertoire, jazz and folk, and has run an advanced study academy for young musicians since 1990. Long housed in the local high school, it has been held since 2003 at the Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts.
