Festival Ópera en la Calle

The Festival Ópera en la Calle, organized by the Ópera de Tijuana, takes over Calle 11 in downtown Tijuana, between Avenida Revolución and Calle Madero. Born in 2004 from a grassroots initiative to celebrate the Café de la Ópera in the Libertad neighborhood, it has grown into a cultural landmark and a free event bringing together hundreds of artists, musicians and creatives from both sides of the border. The program mixes opera, music and street arts in a popular, accessible atmosphere.
