Fête des Chavans

The Fête des Chavans is held each last weekend of July at the Embraud estate, a former manor overlooking the Allier river in the Bourbonnais countryside near Château-sur-Allier. Devoted to traditional music and dance and to folk arts, it draws visitors from across France and abroad for its workshops, open stages, concerts and folk balls. The rural setting and relaxed atmosphere make it a human-scale gathering around traditional culture.
