Overview
About
Founded in 1929 by the Isère federation of the French Communist Party, this militant festival was long held in Fontaine, near Grenoble, before moving to Grenoble and then Saint-Égrève. It brings together a large music stage spanning various genres, street-art spaces, political debates and community stalls, drawing several thousand people in a spirit of solidarity, somewhat like a small-scale Fête de l'Humanité.
