FIWA - Festival du Wassulu

FIWA (Festival International du Wassulu) is held in Yanfolila, in Mali's Wassulu region, an initiative of singer Oumou Sangaré, who hails from the area. It celebrates Wassulu's musical heritage, a region that has produced major Malian voices such as Oumou Sangaré and Salimata Sidibé, through concerts and efforts to showcase its artistic, cultural and social dimensions. The event is part of a broader development project for Yanfolila and its surrounding region.
