Flurry Festival

The Flurry Festival takes place every winter in Saratoga Springs, New York, bringing together musicians and dancers around traditional music and dance from the United States and beyond. Born as a contra dance festival in the late 1980s, it has expanded to cover styles from swing and blues to Cajun, Zydeco, Balkan and Scandinavian folk, waltz, Scottish dance and even techno contra. The weekend mixes large dances, workshops, concerts, storytelling and family-friendly activities in a warm, participatory atmosphere.
