Folkemusikkscena Røros - Røros Folk festival

Røros Folk Festival takes place every mid-June in the historic mining town of Røros, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is organized by Folkemusikkscena Røros, an alliance of local traditional music and dance groups. Over several days, around fifteen events, concerts, dance, courses, children's shows, lunchtime concerts and a folk music fair at Røros Church, make up an intimate celebration of Norwegian traditional music. The town's old wooden streets and the warm, soulful small venues are part of the festival's appeal.
