Folkemusikkveka

Since 1976, Folkemusikkveka has brought Norwegian traditional music and folk dance to Ål, in the Hallingdal valley. The festival centres on well known competitions for Hardanger fiddle and traditional dance, drawing some of the country's leading performers. It runs largely on volunteer work and receives support from the Norwegian Cultural Council.
