G! Festival

G! Festival brings the small coastal village of Syðrugøta in the Faroe Islands to life each summer, set in a natural amphitheatre between the mountains and the sea. Started in 2002 by the local music community, it has grown into an event drawing thousands of visitors from abroad while remaining a non-profit run for the benefit of the village's music scene. The lineup ranges across metal, folk, electronica and pop, mixing Faroese acts with international names in a strikingly scenic setting.
