Overview
About
For four days each August, the Gartempe Blues Festival takes over Saint-Savin sur Gartempe, a medieval town whose abbey church is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Launched in 2013, it brings together an international lineup of about fifteen bands playing blues in all its forms, with free concerts on bar terraces, acoustic sessions by the Gartempe river, and larger evening shows in the abbey park. It has become a key blues event in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
