GMO Sonic turns Makuhari Messe, in Chiba near Tokyo, into an electronic music arena for a winter weekend, typically in January. This indoor, 18+ festival showcases dance and electronic music with international headliners, while weaving in visuals inspired by Japanese culture, such as cherry blossom or plum blossom themed stage design. It draws tens of thousands of attendees for a distinctly festive atmosphere.
