About
Every year in late August, the H.C. Andersen Festivals turn central Odense, Denmark, into a wide-ranging cultural playground inspired by the world of storyteller Hans Christian Andersen. Over about ten days the program mixes concerts, theatre, street performance and contemporary circus, with music ranging from classical to folk and more contemporary sounds. Most events are free and open to everyone, giving the festival a strongly popular, family-friendly character.
