About
Founded in 1991 in Alpine County before settling for decades in Quincy, California, this multi-day festival traditionally takes place around the Fourth of July. Its lineup blends funk, Afrobeat, bluegrass, psychedelic rock, Americana and improvisational jazz, with artist collaborations and surprise late-night sets. Its campground atmosphere, complete with daily parades and themed camps, has made it a favorite among jam band fans and devotees of American festival culture.
