About
Highfield Festival has been held on the shore of Störmthaler See near Großpösna, in the Leipzig region of Germany, since 2010; it was founded in 1998 under a different name, taken from the Hohenfelden site where it first took place. Regarded as eastern Germany's leading indie rock festival, it runs a multi day lineup spanning rock, indie, hip hop and electronic acts, and recently added a lakeside DJ area called Electric Beach. Organizers have announced a hiatus after nearly thirty years.
