Organised by the Institute of Art and Ideas in the town of Hay-on-Wye, on the Welsh border, HowTheLightGetsIn combines philosophical and scientific debates with live music, comedy and workshops across several outdoor and marquee stages. Its distinguishing feature is this mix of academic thought and live performance, built around the aim of taking philosophy out of the university and into public conversation.
