About
Founded in 1984 as Internationale Tanzwochen Wien and renamed ImPulsTanz in 1988, this festival turns Vienna into a global hub for contemporary dance each summer over a five-week program. It brings together performances, research projects and workshops for dancers, choreographers and teachers from around the world, ranging from acclaimed contemporary works to pieces by emerging choreographers. It is now Europe's largest dance festival.
