About
The International Danube Festival takes place every two years in Ulm and Neu-Ulm, on both banks of the Danube, bringing together artists and audiences from countries all along the river. Over about ten days, around 150 mostly free events cover classical music, jazz, Balkan sounds, world music, folk and pop, alongside theatre, dance and literature. The heart of the festival is the Marktplatz der Kulturen, a market showcasing the cultural diversity of the Danube region.
