International Jazz Festival of Punta del Este

The Festival Internacional de Jazz de Punta del Este takes place at Finca El Sosiego, in Punta Ballena, usually in January, and has run since 1996. Produced by Francisco Yobino with clarinetist and saxophonist Paquito D'Rivera as artistic director, it features a program ranging from traditional to contemporary jazz. Its coastal setting near Punta del Este, between beach and countryside, gives the festival a relaxed, intimate atmosphere.
