Overview
About
International Pop Overthrow (IPO) is an American festival devoted to melodic pop and power pop, founded in 1997 by David Bash. Launched in Los Angeles, it has expanded to numerous cities across the United States and Canada, as well as an annual residency at Liverpool's Cavern Club. True to its grassroots spirit, it showcases mostly unsigned bands, though acts who later found fame, such as an early incarnation of Maroon 5, have played its stages.
