About
The Intwasa Arts Festival koBulawayo takes place every September across venues in downtown Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and has run since it was founded in 2005. Its name, meaning spring in isiNdebele, evokes renewal and the festival brings together theatre, dance, music, spoken word and visual arts. Created by local cultural professionals, it aims to position Bulawayo as a recognised cultural hub.
