About
The Kerrville Folk Festival takes place at Quiet Valley Ranch near Kerrville, Texas, running for several weeks each spring into early summer. Founded in 1972 by Rod Kennedy and Nancylee Davis, it is the longest continuously running music festival in the United States, bringing together folk, bluegrass, country, blues and singer-songwriter music in a campground setting known for impromptu jam sessions around the fire. It is also known for its New Folk competition, which spotlights emerging songwriters.
