Kichijōji Music Festival

The Kichijoji Music Festival, also known as Kichion, fills the Kichijoji neighborhood of Musashino, in the Tokyo area, every spring. Launched in 1986, it sets up around a dozen open-air stages, from the plaza outside the station to the edges of Inokashira Park, hosting jazz, folk, rock and more. Building on the area's long-standing tradition of jazz cafes and live music clubs, it has the feel of a free, community-wide street festival held over the Golden Week holiday weekend.
