Kilkenny Roots Festival

Held since 1998 in the medieval town of Kilkenny, this festival is a reference point for americana and alt-country, with forays into swing, bluegrass, rockabilly and folk. Performances are spread across more than thirty venues in the historic centre, from concert halls to traditional pubs, mixing ticketed and free shows. Artists such as Calexico, Drive-By Truckers and Jason Isbell have played past editions.
