Overview
About
Founded in 1994 in Oudtshoorn, in South Africa's Little Karoo, the KKNK (Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees) is the country's biggest arts festival, dedicated to Afrikaans culture. Over eight days, usually in late March or early April, it brings together more than a thousand artists across theatre, performance and exhibitions in more than two hundred productions. Many Afrikaans theatre productions premiere here before touring the rest of the country.
