About
Kneisel Hall is a chamber music school and festival in Blue Hill, Maine, tracing its roots to 1902, when violinist Franz Kneisel began bringing students to his summer home there. Often called the cradle of chamber music teaching in America, it gathers around fifty collegiate and graduate-level young artists each summer for a seven-week season guided by a small faculty. Concerts focus almost entirely on repertoire for strings and piano.
