Kosmonaut Festival

The Kosmonaut Festival was held annually near the Oberrabenstein reservoir close to Chemnitz from 2013 to 2019. Founded by members of the band Kraftklub, it began as a one-day event before expanding to two days in 2014, with a lineup drawn largely from the German indie, hip hop and electronic scene. Its name honored cosmonaut Sigmund Jähn. Known for its lakeside setting and attentive atmosphere, the festival ended after its cancellation was announced in February 2020.
