Overview
About
Kunstenfestivaldesarts takes place every spring in Brussels, spread across some twenty venues around the city, from theatres and cultural centres to museums and public spaces. Founded in 1994 by Frie Leysen, it focuses on contemporary international creation in theatre, dance and visual arts, pairing established artists with emerging voices. Each edition also hosts the Free School, a temporary space for sharing artistic knowledge, reflecting the festival's ambition to bridge Brussels' Dutch and French speaking cultural scenes.
