La Grande Fête

La Grande Fête takes place every mid-September in Ayguemorte-les-Graves, fifteen minutes from Bordeaux between Labrède and Ile Saint-Georges. Over three days, free of charge, it offers concerts under a big top, brass bands, street performances, open-air cinema and fireworks, all in a warm, community-driven atmosphere. It traditionally closes with a soapbox derby, amateur-built carts racing down the village slope.
