La Matria Fest

La Matria Fest is a music festival held in Santiago, Chile, created in 2017 by independent feminist singer Mariel Mariel. Born as an alternative to the scarce presence of women in national cultural celebrations, it showcases music projects led by women around themes of feminism, diversity and migration. Starting as a fonda gathering at Pacto Arte Bar in Providencia, it grew into a more formal festival, staged at venues such as Club Chocolate in the Bellavista neighborhood.
