Lake of Stars

Held on the shores of Lake Malawi, one of Africa's largest lakes, this festival began in 2004 when a British visitor fell for the country and decided to build an event around it. Over several days it blends electronic music, afrobeat and reggae with acts from across Africa and Europe, alongside workshops and art displays. It leans on an eco-conscious ethos and close ties to local community groups.
