Le Son Continu takes place in the grounds of the Château d'Ars, in Lourouer Saint Laurent in the Indre, tracing back to 1976, when it began in nearby Saint Chartier as the International Gathering of Luthiers and Master Musicians. It brings together around 150 instrument makers from across Europe each year, showcasing bagpipes, hurdy gurdies and diatonic accordions alongside traditional concerts and dances.
