LegendFest - festival of folk tales, myths and stories

Founded in 2005 by the Val Kulture association, LegendFest takes place in the small medieval town of Pićan, in Croatian Istria, bringing local legends to life as witches, fairies, dragons and other folklore creatures take over the old town for the duration of the festival. The family-friendly programme mixes street performances, workshops, concerts, exhibitions and theatre pieces inspired by Croatian myths and legends. Recognised with the European EFFE quality label, the event has since expanded to other regions of Croatia.
