About
Founded in Austin in 2008 as Austin Psych Fest by members of the band The Black Angels, the festival was renamed Levitation in tribute to local psychedelic rock pioneers The 13th Floor Elevators. The lineup spans psychedelic rock, punk, metal, darkwave and electronic music, spread across multiple venues in the Red River Cultural District.
