Libertalia Festival

Backed by the Malagasy label Libertalia Music Records, founded in 2012 by Franco-Malagasy entrepreneur Gilles Lejamble, the Libertalia Festival spotlights Madagascar's contemporary music scene. After several editions in Antananarivo, the festival moved to the island of Nosy Be, mixing emerging Malagasy artists with international headliners. It is part of a broader effort to promote and export current Malagasy music on the world stage.
