Overview
About
Founded in 1991 by Perry Farrell, singer of Jane's Addiction, as a touring festival built around American alternative music, Lollapalooza settled from 2005 onward in Grant Park, on the shore of Lake Michigan in downtown Chicago. Its lineup spans a broad range of contemporary music, from rock and pop to electronic and hip hop, across several simultaneous stages in the heart of the city.
